Kristine
After Kristine graduated from Bentley College in 1987 with a B.A. in Marketing/Management, she moved to Texas to work in sales for Royal Canin, a pet food manufacturer. All the while, and especially as she traveled on business, she fine-tuned plans to start her own small company. Our store name in fact came to her during one of her long trips, as she listened to the NPR show “All Things Considered” on her car radio. In 1992, with her Dachshund Snickers as mascot, Kristine opened All Pets Considered in Greensboro, NC. Shortly thereafter, Snickers began eating holes in too many bags of dog food and had to begin “working from home.” That was when Ginger the cockatiel came to watch over things. Kristine and her husband Michael have two wonderful children, Kaitlyn and Spencer, who love animals as much as their mom and have become very helpful in the store. Rounding out the Godfrey family are Lucy the Boxer, and Lola the Boxer. All Pets Considered, still going strong after more than a decade, has become known for its commitment to quality pet foods and supplies and ever-expanding gift line. The employees at All Pets Considered always pay special attention to customer service and maintain strong links to community animal rescue efforts. |
Kristine Godfrey, owner of All Pets Considered, managed a pet
supply store in Massachusetts while still in college. After her first week
there, she knew that one day she would open her own store. She loved
interacting with customers and their pets and enjoyed the minute-to-minute
challenges of retail work.
