DID YOU
KNOW?
Persians are brachycephalic cats with flat facial
characteristics.
The shape of the
kibble is important for cats with flat faces as they tend to use the
lower side of the tongue to pick up food.
Tests performed at the Royal
Canin Research Center indicate that an almond shaped kibble is easier
for Persians to eat.

Persian 30™
Formula
For Adult Persian,
Himalayan & Burmese Cats Over 1 Year of Age |
Cats with
brachycephalic (flat) facial characteristics will tend to use the
lower side of their tongue to pick up kibbles, but Royal Canin studies
have shown that an almond shaped kibble is easier for them to eat.
- Persian cats are 2.5 times more likely to develop calcium oxalate
urinary stones than other breeds, therefore their diets should promote
an alkaline urinary pH.
- The average total length of hair on a Persian cat is 230 miles,
making skin and coat health a top priority!
Key Features:
 |
- ALMOND SHAPED KIBBLE
Easier to Eat Shape for Flat Faced Cats
Physiological Concern:
Brachycephalic (Flat) Facial Morphology - Flat
faced cats tend to use the lower side of their tongues to pick
up kibbles, which typically requires four attempts for every
successful retrieval. Consequently, the kibble shape and
texture are determinant parameters.
Innovative Solution: Almond Shaped Kibble -
Extrude a unique, customized kibble and texture for easy
prehension.

- DERMA SYSTEM™
Balance of Omega 6/3, Zinc and Vitamins A & C
for Healthy, Shiny Coat
Physiological Concern: Long,
Silky and Fragile Coat - The average total length of
hair on a Persian cat is 230 miles, making skin and coat health
a top priority.
Innovative Solution: Derma System™ - Derma System™
contains a specific blend of vitamins, proteins, essential fatty
acids and minerals that help maintain healthy skin and shiny
coat.
|
 |
- HAIRBALL TRANSIT SYSTEM™
Balance of Fibers to Help
Facilitate Evacuation of Hairballs
Physiological Concern:
Prone to Hairballs -
Sedentary cats spend more
than thirty hours per week grooming. The hair they swallow
forms hairballs that are hard to evacuate naturally and may
cause digestive disorders (vomiting, constipation, etc.). This
phenomenon is exaggerated with long hair cats.
Innovative Solution: Hairball
Transit System™ (Fiber Enrichment) -
Balanced fermentable and
non-fermentable fibers facilitate the swift evacuation of
hairballs.
|
Physiological Concern:
Risk of Calcium
Oxalate Stones - Persian cats have a 2.5
times greater risk of developing oxalate
stones in the bladder than the rest of the
feline population. These cats generally
urinate less often and their urine, which
stays in the bladder longer, is more
concentrated.
Innovative Solution:
Non-Acidified Diet

Recommended Feeding Guide
When changing your pet's diet, gradually mix food over a 5-7 day
period, increasing daily the amount of new food added so that 100% of
the new food will be provided to the pet by day seven.
Food may be served right out of the bag or moistened with water, if
desired. You may wish to leave a daily portion of dry cat food out and
available at all times so that cats may feed themselves. Always
remember to provide your pet with clean, fresh water at all times. For
your pet's health, see your veterinarian regularly.
This is only a guide. Optimal feeding amounts may vary with age,
temperament, activity level and environment.
