DID YOU
KNOW?
The number of cats over the age of 15 is increasing.
Improvements in
nutrition and veterinary medicine and better understanding of and
adherence to vaccination schedules has contributed to this positive
trend.

Senior 26™
Formula
For Cats Over 15
Years of Age |
Antioxidants
and polyphenols, found in vitamins E and C and grapefruit extract, may
help to protect cells from oxidation due to aging.
- While activity levels may decline, preservation of joint condition
is important to facilitate mobility in your older cat.
- Mannan-oligo-saccharides may increase the concentration of
immunoglobulin (antibodies) in the digestive tract, reinforcing the
natural defense system of your older cat.
Key Features:
 |
- ULTRA SOFT KIBBLE
Easily Rehydratable Kibble That Requires Less Penetration for
Breakage
Physiological Concern: Oral
Lesions/Dental Problems - 60% of mature cats suffer from
dental disease, resulting in oral pain. Mature cats may begin
to experience a noticeable decline in sense of taste and smell.
All of these factors result in decreased palatability.
Innovative Solution: Ultra Soft
Kibble (Easy to Chew) - Easily rehydratable kibble
requires even less penetration for breakage, thereby reducing
pain and increasing palatability for advanced age cats.
|
 |
- GLUCOSAMINE & CHONDROITIN
To Help Assure Optimal Joint Health and Mobility
Physiological Concern: Joint
Health - While activity may decline, preservation of
joint condition is important to facilitate mobility in
second-stage mature cats.
Innovative Solution: Glucosamine &
Chondroitin - Glucosamine Hydrochloride and Chondroitin
Sulfate are natural joint-building compounds, which are added to
assure optimal joint health and mobility in second-stage mature
cats.
|
 |
- VITAMINS E & C, GRAPEFRUIT
EXTRACT AND MOS
To Help Avoid Cellular Breakdown Associated With Aging and
Preserving Natural Defenses
Physiological Concern: Cellular
Breakdown - Aging is a complex phenomenon, during which,
an increase in the production of free radicals can be observed.
The cat's defenses are insufficient to fight such oxidation
phenomena. Also, Elderly cats need the very best protection
through maximum stimulation of their reduced natural defenses.
Innovative Solution: Vitamins E & C,
Grapefruit Extract and MOS - Antioxidants and
polyphenols block free radicals to fight cellular aging while
Mannan-oligo-saccharides (MOS) increase the concentration of
immunoglobulin (antibodies) in the digestive tract, reinforcing
the natural defense system in second-stage mature cats.

Physiological Concern:
Risk of Calcium Oxalate
Stones

Recommended Feeding Guide
When changing your pet's diet, gradually mix food over a 5-7 day
period, increasing daily the amount of new food added so that 100% of
the new food will be provided to the pet by day seven.
Food may be served right out of the bag or moistened with water, if
desired. You may wish to leave a daily portion of dry cat food out and
available at all times so that cats may feed themselves. Always
remember to provide your pet with clean, fresh water at all times. For
your pet's health, see your veterinarian regularly.
This is only a guide. Optimal feeding amounts may vary with age,
temperament, activity level and environment.
