Holistique Blendz, the "senior, lite" diet

This is a "lite" formula dry food, that is ideal for senior or over- weight dogs, or those who require a restricted intake of protein and fat for optimum health. Holistique Blendz is made with 18% protein, 6% fat and a total of 391 calories per cup. Many veterinarians recommend a low 18% protein diet for dogs with liver / kidney problems as well as pancreas, diabetes or epilepsy problems. 18% is the lowest percentage of protein that still sustains life. This dry food is made with fish as the primary protein source. We recommend the addition of Solid Gold SeaMeal along with all our dry foods, to provide additional trace minerals, vitamins & digestive enzymes. Additional meat may be added to Holistique Blendz for adult maintenance. The meat can be chosen according to the individual dog's allergies or energy requirements. For dogs on a raw diet, the Buckaroo Beef freeze dried raw meat can be used.
