Mission Statement:

Almost Home has a goal of respectful support of independent volunteers who offer rehabilitation and placement of unwanted dachshunds.  The network offers a new approach to dachshund rescue in what we hope to offer a place for volunteers to access information from our national website, post available dachshunds, and enjoy the support of other members in a friendly, open forum.  Through fundraising efforts we hope to provide our affiliates assistance with treatments beyond their own rescue budgets.  We also hope to offer referrals to other groups based on locality and requirements.  Continued public awareness of puppy mills, spay/neuter issues and responsible ownership will be important goals of Almost Home Dachshund Rescue.
