Since 1988,
more than 6,000 animals have been spayed or neutered through our low-cost
Spay/Neuter Program. The reduction of unwanted litters of
puppies and kittens is the most effective and humane way to improve Alamance
County's animal overpopulation problem.
To help homeless dogs and cats, our Rescue and Foster Program
has dedicated volunteers caring for animals until permanent homes can be
found. Adoption fairs are held the 3rd Saturday of every month at the
Colonial Mall.
To educate children on the care of animals, our Humane Education
Love-Your-Pet Program is presented to students in grades K-5.
Volunteers take friendly pets into the classroom to provide a hands on
experience.
