Mission
Statement:
(a) To rescue and provide homes,
sustenance, and veterinary care for homeless, abandoned, and needy pugs.
(b) The prevention of cruelty to
animals, the relief of suffering among animals, and the extension of humane
education.
(c) To urge members and breeder to
accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the
only standard of excellence by which the pug shall be judged.
(d) To protect, educated, and
advance the interest of the breed by encouraging responsible pet ownership.
(e) To carry on and conduct any
other lawful activity permitted to nonprofit corporation which directly or
indirectly promotes the purposes to have and exercise all of the rights, powers
and privileges which are now or may hereafter be conferred by the laws of North
Carolina upon nonprofit corporations organized and operating under the laws of
said state.
(f) This corporation is organized
exclusively for charitable, religious educational, and scientific purposes,
including, for such purpose, the making of distributions to organizations that
qualify as exempt organizations under section 501 ( c ) (3) of the Internal
Revenue code, or the corresponding section of any future tax code.
